Green light for Heywood homes

ROCHDALE Boroughwide Housing (RBH) has been granted planning permission to build 14 new homes for rent on a £1.4 million scheme at Longridge Drive, Heywood.

RBH is a new mutual organisation run on behalf of its members which recently took control of 13,500 homes in the Rochdale borough through a stock transfer.

Chief executive Gareth Swarbrick said:  “Heywood is an important regeneration area for RBH and these new homes will mark the start of our future investment in the area.”

The planning permission allows RBH to develop two 2-bed bungalows; eight, 3-bed houses and four 4-bed houses which will be available for affordable rent.
The properties have been designed by TADW Architects. RBH plans to start on site in May and the properties are expected to be ready for occupation in March 2013.
