Savills aiming to be top of POPs

REAL estate specialist Savills has launched two new Manchester-based divisions designed to boost its portfolio of leisure and retail clients across the UK.
The firm has recruited three new industry experts to launch POP Marketing and added to its research function to support the newly branded Property Management Insights offer.
POP Marketing will focus on providing event management, PR, digital marketing and social media services to clients.
The team has produced a catalogue of ‘Burst Campaigns” – one off pockets of activity or events which can be executed on a large scale and rolled out across the UK for key retail dates such as Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day.
Existing instructions include The Rock in Bury and a string of other locations in the South East.
Account director Karen Deas has been appointed to build and launch POP Marketing and has been joined by Hannah Norburn, previously PR and event manager at SKV communications and Laura Nuttall, who specialises in social media and website development.
The team is completed by Chioma Ibe and Megan Fietze, who have both worked for Savills’ previous SMCR team for a number of years and specialise in delivering marketing strategies to multiple shopping centres across the UK.
“This is an exciting time to join Savills and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to take on the challenge of rebranding and launching the on site marketing division,” said Deas.
“We have worked with a number of creative partners to design the new activities and are looking forward to a busy, challenging and exciting year.”
Katrina Mackay, director at Savills, said: “We have strengthened our service provision in response to shifts in the market and our clients’ changing requirements for driving the success of their property portfolios.
“We are open to expanding our income channels and have spent much of the year considering new opportunities and strengthening existing non-core business to diversify income”.
