Stockport’s Southfield 25 nears completion of second phase

Southfield Developments’ speculative industrial scheme in Bredbury, Stockport, is nearing completion on its second phase.

The first unit at the site has been let to Screwfix, which is taking a total of 4,000 sq ft.

There is a total of 20,000 sq ft still available, with plenty of interest, says the firm.

Phase one, comprising 8,500 sq ft, has been let to national vehicle van hire operator, Northgate, which has taken a 15-year lease.

A spokesman for Northgate Southfield said: “Southfield 25 has given us the opportunity to operate a more efficient vehicle service through high quality warehousing, as well as allowing us to allocate and deliver dedicated customer service areas which is fundamental to the Northgate company strategy.”

Southfield 25, on Ashton Road, Bredbury, comprises 10 trade counter units totaling 40,000 sq ft and can accommodate requirement units from 4,000 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft.

Michael Blackshaw, of Impey & Co, which is the agent for the scheme, said: “Southfield 25 occupies a prime location benefiting from main road frontage and with excellent access to the principal arterial roads serving Stockport, the M60 and beyond.

“It is no surprise that this quality scheme has generated significant interest from national trade counter operators and we already have two further units currently under offer.”
