Work to transform the site of a former a truck dealership near Warrington into a new neighbourhood is motoring along with the first homes soon to be released for sale.
Elan Homes has planning consent to build 15 new home on the former Trucks 2 Go site on Warrington Road in the sought-after village of Culcheth.
Known as Culcheth Green, the scheme will bring previously-developed land within the greenbelt back into good use providing much-needed new homes.
Elan will develop 1.75 acres of the 2.67 acre site and will create a biodiversity area within the development.
The homebuilder will also invest more than £300,000 in affordable housing and contribute almost £50,000 to Culcheth High School.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “We’re excited to be back building in the Warrington area, having previously successfully redeveloped sites in Walton and Croft into desirable new communities.
“We know from those schemes that there’s a real appetite for quality built, spacious new homes with a superb specification in this part of Cheshire.
“Culcheth is a popular village, with a real sense of community, including well-regarded schools, and it’s very much somewhere people aspire to live.
“We have already started building a database of prospective purchasers eager to know more about the homes at Culcheth Green.
“In response to demand we will be releasing the first properties ‘off plan’ with a show home due to open in the Spring.”
Culcheth Green will offer three-, four- and five-bedroom detached designs ranging from 1,298 sq ft to 2,081 sq ft.
Prices for the properties will be announced at the launch.
The homes will enjoy a semi-rural location, with opportunities for homeowners to embrace village living at its best.
It is considered an ideal base for commuters, with excellent links to Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester.
