Liverpool-based developer Elliot Group has appointed CBRE as sole agent to handle the lettings for 10 leisure and retail units in its £100m transformation of Wolstenholme Square.

The units range in size from 474 sq ft to 2,314 sq ft, with tenants welcome to combine units to create larger spaces, should they wish.

“The ambition has always been to add to the Ropewalks’ place as a home for Liverpool’s independents and that’s where our focus lies,” said Nick Huddleston of CBRE.

“We’re in discussion with some really interesting operators and expect to make some announcements shortly.

“It’s a very good scheme in a thriving neighbourhood.

“You only have to see the transformation of Duke Street on the west side of the square to see the additional potential that Wolstenholme offers,” he added.

The 470-apartment scheme includes a new pedestrian route – now open – lined with retail units which link Wolstenholme Square with Seel Street. There are also a number of units facing the revamped square itself.

“I’m delighted to welcome CBRE back to the team,” said Elliot Group director Elliot Lawless.

“They sold me the last of the sites for the project and bring tremendous reach and energy. They’ll play a key role in ensuring our tenants provide the final polish to what is already a great scheme.”
