Planning approved on more than 400 new Clitheroe homes

The Taylor Wimpey site

Acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey Manchester, Avison Young has successfully secured reserved matters planning approval for 426 dwellings, as well as a new spine road in Clitheroe, Ribble Valley.

The planning applications were unanimously approved by Ribble Valley’s planning committee.

The new homes will be part of phases two, three and four of the six-phase housing development at land off Pendle Road, following the highly successful completion of phase one of the site.

The spine road will provide a bus link through the scheme from the access to phase one off Pendle Road through to Littlemoor.

James Berggren, associate at Avison Young, said: “The approval of both the new houses and the spine road mark a significant milestone in meeting the increasing demand for high-quality homes in Clitheroe.”

Gareth Bancroft, associate land director at Taylor Wimpey, added: “After the fantastic success of the first phase of this scheme we are excited that these planning permissions will now enable us to proceed with delivering the next phases of the scheme.”

Taylor Wimpey hopes to begin construction in the Summer.

Baldwin Design are the architects on the scheme.
