Industrial unit sold at a quoting price of £2.25m

Acting on behalf of Ductavent Management, Davies Harrison has sold a 45,938 sq ft warehouse/manufacturing facility in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, to construction company, JRL Property Holdings.

The property was available at a quoting price for £2.25m.

The detached building is situated on a four acre site on Gillibrands Industrial Estate, close to the M58 and will be the first North West base for the national construction company.

Rick Davies, partner at Davies Harrison, said: “As sole agents, we were instructed to market this property early February, just prior to lockdown.

“We had strong interest in the property from occupiers and developers which led to a number of parties chasing the deal before a sale was agreed with a delayed completion to enable the vendor to vacate.

“We are pleased to have now completed the deal in a time frame that suited both parties and believe that this sale demonstrates continued strength and depth of the industrial market, despite the climate that we are in.”
