Work starts on three units at biggest industrial estate on Merseyside

The proposed development

Manchester property firm Prime Property has begun work on three new industrial units at Knowsley Industrial Estate.

And it expects to have let all three before completion, it said.

The firm received planning permission to start work on the estate, the biggest in the Liverpool City Region and only eclipsed by Trafford Park in the North West.

Construction will create more than 130,000 sq ft of space, in total, across the units.

They are located on Acornfield Road, which is the main spine road that runs through the estate.

Prime Property said work is scheduled to finish on site in December this year.

The units will comprise space of 31,482 sq ft, 47,453 sq ft and 53,269 sq ft, respectively.

Prime Property commercial director, Imran Younus, said: “We know the estate well and there is very little available stock in the area currently.

“We expect all three units to be let prior to completion.”

CBRE and B8RE have been appointed as joint agents to market the scheme.
