Ecommerce agency relocates ahead of planned international expansion

The Velstar team on rooftop space at The Tempest

Liverpool ecommerce agency, Velstar, has relocated to a bigger headquarters following a raft of new client wins, doubling the size of its team, and plans for international growth.

The company has moved a short distance from its previous office on Mann Island, at the Pier Head, to the sixth floor of The Tempest, on Tithebarn Street.

Velstar has been growing at an annual rate of 78% and now boasts a 30-strong team.

It has taken 4,298 sq ft of office space at The Tempest, in the heart of the city’s business district.

The move coincides with a rebrand and chief executive, Dan Sheard, said: “Over the past few years, we’ve been growing quickly, so it felt like the right time to advance our look, feel and messaging to better reflect our size, presence, and the work we’ve done for our incredible clients.

“Having outgrown our previous office in lockdown and with ambitions to double our numbers again this year, ‌we had to move to a bigger space that suited the needs of the business, and one we can really call our own.

“Plus, we’re a sociable bunch and our fun, friendly culture is important to us, so the new office provides a perfect base for us to come together from far and wide and celebrate our successes.”

He added: “We have big plans for 2022. We’re on another major recruitment drive for lots of exciting roles and have expansion plans to open new offices in Europe and North America. More news on this is coming very soon.”

Founded in 2016, Velstar specialises in designing, building and optimising Shopify Plus stores for online retailers, as well as a range of digital marketing services, such as SEO, PPC, email marketing and paid social media advertising.

Its clients include French Connection, AVON, Castore, Swan and Zooki.
