Work starts on nine new units at Runcorn industrial estate

The proposed scheme

Chorley-based property and asset management company, FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), has begun groundworks at its new Astmoor Point development in Runcorn.

The scheme will see the construction of nine new industrial units totalling 25,829 sq ft and will cater to businesses of all sizes, starting from 2,666 sq ft to 4,499 sq ft, with the option available to combine units to create larger spaces.

Located next to the Mersey Gateway, Astmoor Point is expected to complete in March 2023, and will further enhance Astmoor Industrial Estate’s reputation as a hub for local, national and international businesses.

Tim Knowles, founder and managing director of FI Real Estate Management, said: “Astmoor Industrial Estate has proven a popular location for a wide range of businesses over the years and with the demand for industrial space across the UK rising, we know Astmoor Point will be able to help fulfil some of that demand.

“Our investment in the new development will also help to boost the local economy and provide more employment opportunities for local people.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new businesses to Astmoor and for our presence in Runcorn to continue to grow.”

Astmoor Industrial Estate forms part of FIREM’s 15 million sq ft portfolio of commercial property in the UK, with five million sq ft of new build industrial developments in the pipeline.
