Global operator signs 10-year lease at Birchwood site

Olympic Park premises

A two-storey office building in Birchwood has been let to Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, a leader in the quality, health, safety, security and environment (QHSSE) sector.

BE Group, on behalf of a private client, successfully let the 3,156 sq ft space on Birchwood’s established Olympic Park.

The company is relocating from its warehouse premises on Woolston Grange. The new site will be home to its consumer products services division, which works to ensure consumer retail products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Greg O’Hara, surveyor at BE Group, said: “Bureau Veritas are an internationally renowned company, founded in 1828.

“Listed on the CAC 40 with annual revenues of €5.2bn in 2022 and employing more than 82,000 people in 140 countries, we are delighted to have brought them to Olympic Park.

“This is a progressive move, something that we continue to see from occupiers who are investing more into office spaces to create the best possible environment for their staff. It is also gratifying to see that, by taking a 10-year lease, the tenant has also shown a commitment to the importance of having a bustling office hub at the heart of the business.”

Jonathon Thackray, regional director of Northern Europe and managing director, said: “We are delighted and excited in equal measure to be relocating our consumer products division head office to Olympic Park and the whole team is looking forward to moving.

“We see this move as a key component in our long term planning and investment in the UK consumer products market, which is an important strategic market for Bureau Veritas.”

BE Group acted as sole agents on the letting.
