Alderley Edge-based developer, Vita Group, has signed up an exciting new restaurant business for the Circle Square site on Manchester’s Oxford Road.

Mr Su’s, a Leeds-based noodle and dumpling eaterie, will further enhance the food and beverage offering at Circle Square, which is a joint venture between Vita Group and Manchester-based developer, Bruntwood SciTech.

North Bar, Federal and Hello Oriental are already features of the city centre site.

Set to open later this month, the new restaurant will be Mr Su’s second location, bringing with it all the popular menu items from its Leeds site.

Signing a 10-year deal, Mr Su will be opening its first North West site taking a 2,800 sqft space underneath Vita Student’s Medlock building.

The new opening is expected to create a further 10 jobs in the area, complementing Circle Square’s ever-expanding retail and leisure mix.

Vita Group chief operating officer, Max Bielby, said: “We are delighted to sign a deal to bring Mr Su’s to Circle Square.

“The restaurant is hugely popular in Leeds, amassing a huge following. Mr Su’s selecting Circle Square is testament to the location’s prime leisure and retail opportunities which offer great footfall thanks to a large resident and professional community on its doorstep.”

Matloob Khan, co-owner of Mr Su’s, said: “In the heart of Manchester, Circle Square is the perfect location for our second restaurant.

“The vibrant development attracts large volumes of footfall thanks its central position on the Oxford Road corridor and has its own captive market thanks to its bustling resident and professional community.”

Acting agent for Vita Group’s retail and leisure offering is Lyons Thompson Letts Property Consultants.
