US designer brand commits to expansion at key out of town retail site

Trafford Centre

Out of town retail and leisure destination, the Trafford Centre, has agreed an expansion package with retailer Tommy Hilfiger, which will open a new-look 5,500 sq ft store on Upper Peel Avenue this spring.

Tommy Hilfiger, founded in 1985, is globally recognised for celebrating the essence of Classic American Cool.

Infused with its red, white and blue DNA, the brand serves consumers worldwide under its TOMMY HILFIGER and TOMMY JEANS brands.

The designer brand’s investment in its new store will increase the square footage to double the size of its existing unit.

The store will trade over two levels and offer customers a larger space to browse the latest collections from the designer, including Menswear, Womenswear and Kids, as well as Accessories and Footwear.

Russell Loveland, Managing Director of UK Asset Management at Pradera Lateral, asset manager of Trafford Centre, said: “We look forward to Tommy Hilfiger opening its new store at Trafford Centre.

“With over 5,500 square feet of designer wear on its rails, Tommy Hilfiger’s fresh and modern new store will perfectly complement our existing line up of high end stores and designer brands.”

He added: “Demand from premium brands for bigger and better stores is ever-increasing and we aim to keep up with that demand through active asset management enabling us to secure global brands and keep the Trafford Centre at the forefront of the retail industry.

“With designers like Tommy Hilfiger choosing to invest in a flagship store at Trafford, we feel 2024 has started as it means to go on.”
