Warehouse Project wins permission for more Piccadilly events

EVENTS organiser The Warehouse Project has been granted planning permission to use a car park under Piccadilly Station for dance events.
The Warehouse Project, which has organised nightclub and live music events throughout the city, has previously staged one-off events at the car park.
But it sought a change of use so it could hold events on a number of pre-scheduled dates during the year. During working hours the space will continue to be used as a car park.
Harry Spawton, planning partner at Knight Frank, advised on the dual-use application. He said: “This site offers the perfect location for The Warehouse Project – in the city centre, close to public transport and away from residential properties.
“The Warehouse Project has an excellent track record of operating responsibly and working closely with the Police. We spent considerable time with the officers at Manchester City Council to address any potential concerns and I believe this is a great decision for the city.”
