Bruntwood agrees three-year deal with MSS

MANCHESTER property group Bruntwood has signed a three-year extension to a maintenance contract with Managed Support Services.

The agreement, worth £500,000 a year, will cover 95% of Bruntwood’s managed portfolio, or 5.5m sq ft of commercial property.

Bruntwood, led by Chris Oglesby, owns more than 90 buildings in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Simon Beart, MSS’s chief executive said: “This is a long term endorsement from one of our largest customers, covering multi-year revenues. This confirms the recent progress the group has made in becoming a national supplier with scale and resources.

“We expect further new contract progress as the increased capabilities of the group are made available to our broad customer base.”

MSS emerged from Wilmslow-based Worthington Nicholls following a takeover led by Mr Beart. The firm still has an office in Wilmslow but its headquarters are now in Woking, Surrey.
