Salford apartment scheme gets off ground
NIKAL Special Projects has begun work on a bespoke apartment scheme on the junction of Caxton Street and Chapel Street in Salford.
The six storey building, for Stockport based property investment specialists Assetz, will deliver nine apartments, including a luxurious two bedroom penthouse, with retail space at street level.
The £850,000 project, available for Assetz’ clients, will be completed this summer.
Mark Hopkins, from NSP said: “It’s a great, but logistically difficult site, opposite the entrance to the Lowry Hotel, but the previous scheme was just not commercially viable to build as designed. We took apart and redesigned the plans and are now delivering the scheme within the client’s budget.”
NSP is the specialist construction arm of Manchester based regeneration developer Nikal, and offers efficient, bespoke solutions for small to medium sized building projects.
NSP is also currently working on a £300,000 glazing contract at The Soapworks in Salford for the Carlyle Group. The 16 week contract is on a ground floor unit at the iconic building which will be available for office or retail use.
Hopkins added: “We are able to use our vast experience to re-think and then deliver solutions for clients whose schemes may have stalled. Very often all it takes is a fresh approach and practical application that adds value and ultimately sees projects delivered.”
