Hotel portfolio on market for £18m

THE Prima portfolio of four country house hotels has been put up for sale for £18m.

Joint administrators Ryan Grant, Lee Causer and Catherine Williamson of AlixPartners Services UK have put the properties in the hands of Savills to market.

Four of its hotels are also available as individual assets, with two based in Cheshire – The Stanneylands Hotel near Wilmslow and Nunsmere Hall Hotel near Northwich.

The four-star Stanneylands comprises 55 bedrooms plus conference and event facilities, a restaurant and bar.  It combines a picturesque setting among mature woodlands and open fields with a drive time of just 10 minutes to Manchester Airport and 20 minutes to Manchester city centre.

Nunsmere Hall is a former manor house which dates back to the 1900s and has retained much of its historic architecture.  Located close to Cheshire Polo Club and Oulton Park, it is surrounded by a lake and features 36 individually designed bedrooms plus a restaurant, bar and conference and events facilities.

The Grade II-listed Hellaby Hall Hotel near Rotherham is the largest of the portfolio with 89 bedrooms and conference or event facilities catering for up to 500 guests. The Quorn Country Hotel in Quorn, near Loughborough, Leicestershire is the only four-star venue in the area.

Savills director of regional hotel transactions Martin Rogers said: “This portfolio of regional country house hotels provides a diverse mix of bedroom, dining, conferencing, health and leisure facilities.

“Each is well-established within its market and has a strong trading record, making them an excellent investment as either a portfolio or individual assets.”
