ADT gets contract for office refurb at Royal Exchange

TRINISTAR Manchester has appointed contractor ADT Workplace to carry out the refurbishment of its offices at the Royal Exchange, an iconic scheme in the city’s prime core.

Manchester-based ADT will be refurbishing the office space and both reception areas, which front onto Cross Street and St Ann’s Square.

The contractor has been involved in a number of high profile projects in the region for investor clients including CBREi, Manchester Airport Group and Helical Bar.

It is the latest in a series of milestones, which mark the multi-million pound transformation of the Grade II listed building. Last month the scheme achieved planning permission to upgrade the retail and leisure space, including the 19,000sq ft retail arcade.

The Royal Exchange comprises a national theatre, 100,000sq ft of retail accommodation and 120,000sq ft of office space.  It is home to occupiers including Clyde & Co Molton Brown, Starbucks, Place North West and M&E engineers, Hoare Lea.

Simon Hoad, executive director at Trinity IM said: “To make this project a true success that will appeal to occupiers, it’s imperative that the project team we have on board has the highest level of experience and expertise in dealing with a building of this stature.

“ADT Workplace has given us every confidence in the team’s ability to sympathetically transform this space and we look forward to working with them towards a completion date of the second quarter of next year.”
