Renowned business district to get big marketing push

DEVELOPER Allied London, owners of Spinningfields in Manchester, is set to expand its brand by creating a new dedicated in-house marketing, PR and events team.

It will be led by Luisa d’Aprano, who has previously worked with Manchester United, Williams F1, Nike, Aon and BMW.

Spinningfields has become one of Europe’s leading business quarters as well as one of Manchester’s most popular destinations to work, eat, drink and shop.

It serves visitor numbers of over 5.5 million people per year, as well as housing an ever-growing office population of over 17,000 resident workers, and a retail and leisure turnover in excess of £80m per annum.

Spinningfields is now in its final stages of development with commercial buildings, XYZ and No.1 Spinningfields completing on the estate in 2016 and 2017 respectively, both of which will be complimented by elevated marketing activity.

Michael Ingall, chief executive of Allied London, said: “The Spinningfields brand is synonymous with success and quality and has a tremendous following.

“We have worked hard over the last five years to establish Spinningfields as the destination for food and drink and have generated significant new leisure offerings.

“We are continuing that strategy but adding to that by focusing our current phase of development on delivering what will be without doubt the city’s two best new commercial buildings.

“It’s time now to expand on the Spinningfields brand, capitalise on the various marketing opportunities and ensure Spinningfields remains the very best commercial area within the city of Manchester.

“We have invested in new talented people to achieve this including Spinningfields estates director Chris Reay, PR manager Daisy Barnes and commercial project manager,Rochelle Silverstein, as well as Luisa d’Aprano and her incoming team.”
