5 things to do in the North West this weekend

NOT sure what to do on the last weekend before Christmas? We’ve compiled a list of events and activities to explore and enjoy over the next few days.1. Billy Elliot the Musical
Date: Tuesday 29th November – Saturday 28th January
Location: Palace Theatre, Manchester
It’s been described as the ‘best musical of the decade’ by Time Magazine and now it has arrived on the stages of Manchester. Set in a northern mining town, against the background of the 1984/’85 miners’ strike, Billy Elliot is the inspirational story of a young boy’s struggle against the odds to make his dream come true.
2. Artisan market
Date: Sunday 18th December
Location: Heaton Fold Garden Centre, Bolton
Need that extra little something to finish off your Christmas presents? With everything from handmade soaps and fairtrade mosaics to personalised signs and bespoke furniture, Bolton’s artisan market is the ideal venue to get Christmas all wrapped up! Food and drink from local traders will also be on offer at the event.
3. Elf Adventures
Date: Friday 16th – Saturday 17th December
Location: The Ice Cream Farm, Tattenhall, Cheshire
Throughout December, the Elf Adventure Challenge will be in Cheshire with performers, games and creative activities to give children the ultimate interactive Christmas experience. Children and their families will be taken on a journey to become honorary elves where they will learn about how they help Santa get ready to deliver his magic every year.
4. Radio City Christmas Live
Date: Saturday 17th December
Location: Echo Arena, Kings Dock, Liverpool
This Saturday, Radio City Christmas Live sponsored by Stagecoach will be bringing the biggest bands to Liverpool. With Craig David, Dua Lipa, Clean Bandit, The Vamps, Louisa Johnson, Anne Marie, Mic Lowry and more artists still to be announced, the line-up is set to get even better before the weekend. 5. The Snowman
