Consultation underway on regeneration plans for former Cornwall Council office campus

A consultation has started on regeneration plans for the former Cornwall Council office campus.
Cornish developer Treveth is inviting the local community in Truro to view the detailed proposals for the Treyew Road redevelopment and to meet the team aiming to regenerate this key area of the town.
A public consultation event will be held on Wednesday 27th November, from 1.30pm to 6.30pm at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY.
The drop-in event is an opportunity for the local community to find out more about Treveth’s proposed plans.
Members of the public will also have the opportunity to submit their feedback at the event or complete an online questionnaire at www.treveth.co.uk/treyew-rd. The consultation website and questionnaire will be live from Wednesday 27th November 2024 until Friday 13th December 2024.
The 2.6ha Treyew Road site will be used to construct in the region of 120 homes, delivering open market rent, affordable rent and shared ownership homes.
The first phase will comprise 53 homes ranging from one to four bedrooms and will be prioritised for people with local connections, or those who are working in the local area.
Emma Rodgers, senior development manager at Treveth, commented: “Our first community event which took place earlier in September was really well attended and provided us with some valuable input that we have considered when developing our design proposals for the site. We’re looking forward to meeting with local residents again and providing the opportunity to view these detailed proposals.
“The community’s feedback will help us positively shape the future of this key site, by improving community spaces and providing new homes for local people.
“Attendees will be able to see display boards which give a sense of what the new neighbourhood could look like, alongside receiving more information about the types of homes that will be coming, as well as Treveth’s approach to sustainability.”
Founded by Cornwall Council in 2019, Treveth now manages more than 160 properties across six developments and 48 units across 10 commercial sites.
Treveth has successfully managed and sold properties transferred from Cornwall Council, creating communities which include Heathlands View, Bodmin; The Coppers, Tolvaddon and Tregover, Newquay.
