Law firm makes senior appointment in its rural team

Law firm RWK Goodman has announced a new senior associate in its agricultural and rural property team.

Rebecca Gillard has joined the residential property, farms and estates team.

Based in the Bath office, Rebecca, who joins from Trethowans, has spent the last nine years specialising in agricultural property.

Rebecca has a wide range of experience across residential, agricultural and rural property, including the acquisition and disposal of farms and estates, residential and agricultural tenancies (including Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies and Farm Business Tenancies), secured lending, as well as general advice to rural landowners.

She is recognised in the Legal 500 as a key agricultural property lawyer.

Rebecca said: “I am delighted to be joining such a respected firm and working alongside a team of highly experienced individuals. Growing up in Bath, Withy King (as it was then) was a well-known name and I’m very proud to now be part of the team. I’m already enjoying working with local landowners and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.

“I enjoy the technical aspects of property law and the specific challenges and nuances involved in agricultural property. I enjoy getting to know my clients and understanding their objectives and aim to add value where I can.”

Angus Williams, head of RWK Goodman’s residential property, farms and estates and the agricultural team added: “Rebecca’s extensive expertise and experience will enhance our team even further. With a robust agricultural practice already in place, Rebecca’s arrival represents a significant stride in broadening our capabilities and extending our range of expertise and services for our clients.”
