Historic school to be sold at auction

A historic Plymouth school is being auctioned for £1.2m.
The former Plympton Grammar School is Grade II listed and known as “the cradle of English art” because of its association with Sir Joshua Reynolds and other famous painters.
The property in Loncause, Plympton St Maurice, has two buildings totalling 8969 sq ft of floor space, and is set in about 0.6 acres of land, with a car park and gardens.
One building contains a great hall with a kitchen, bathroom and storerooms above.
The other has 11 bedrooms on two floors above a ground floor which contains a sitting room, drawing room, morning room, dining hall, utility room, kitchen and study.
The property is being sold this week at auction by property agent Knight Frank Auctions.
