Historic Bath pub reopens after major renovations

The Northey Arms in Box

The Northey Arms in Box, managed by Butcombe Pubs & Inns, has reopened after renovations inside and out.

Located on the outskirts of Bath, the pub now features updated interiors, 13 revamped bedrooms, and new menus.

The pub has undergone a modern country house-style makeover, refreshing the bar, snug, and dining areas with greens, dark greys, and neutrals.

Traditional elements like wood panelling and window seats blend with contemporary additions such as leather seating and statement lighting, creating various comfortable and elegant spaces.

The outdoor area includes a large garden with a children’s play area, providing a landscaped space for alfresco drinking and dining with fixed wooden seating and pergolas adorned with lights.

Jayson Perfect, group managing director of Pubs & Inns, Liberation Group said: “The Northey Arms is a beautiful building with a rich history.

“This refurbishment has enhanced its much-loved features and restored those that have been lost over time – it looks incredible inside and out. We’ve worked our magic in the kitchen too with the introduction of new menus.  We’re sure our guests will enjoy the new look and feel, alongside our fresh new award-winning food and drink offering.”
