PICTURE GALLERY: New casino development at the NEC

THE NEC Group has launched the next stage in its ambitious plans to build a £120m casino, hotel and leisure complex on the site in Solihull.
Already four years in the planning, the project is now open for public consultation with a planning application due to be submitted next month to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The authority is also considering an application for a casino licence from the NEC and its partner Genting Casinos UK.
If successful, work will start in the summer on the 55,000 sq metre complex which will house a hotel, casino, cinema, conference and banqueting facilities, extra car parking, spa, bars and restaurants.
