Shaylor secures trio of new framework agreements

WALSALL-based contracting group Shaylor has won a trio of new framework agreements with public sector bodies to be undertaken over the next four years.

A new framework agreement with its long-standing client the Ministry of Justice will cover minor works contracts up to a value of £500,000 at MoJ premises across the UK for the next four years.

A three-year agreement with Northampton County Council will centre on capital projects from £200,000 to £3.8m.

Making up the triumvirate is a four-year agreement with Hertfordshire County Council encompassing repairs, adaptations, refurbishment and extensions to buildings on project up to £550,000.

Framework director Martin Chambers said: “We are delighted to add these three framework agreement to our portfolio.

“We have a long-standing relationship with the MoJ and experienced a very active year last year with custodial and prison projects in Birmingham, Cheshire, Manchester, Kent and Peterborough.

“We are likely to see more framework agreements being offered into the market place as public bodies strive to maintain their development and refurbishment programmes despite the severe cuts in funding.

“These appointments reflect our track record of success with previous framework agreements and put us in a strong position to benefit from this trend.”
