New funding for Projex following merger

BUILDING surveyor and project manager Projex Building Solutions has agreed a new financing package following its recent merger with Stratford-based Keane Consult.

The company, headquartered in Leeds, says it is now looking to embark on an expansion programme which already includes the opening of new base in Warwickshire for its Midlands operations.

Managing partner Phil Tomalin, who jointly established the firm just over two years ago, said the new package with Santander would help the business double its annual turnover of £600,000.

Projex opened a new office in Henley-in-Arden following the merger in April and its recent contract wins include a deal to project manage and provide cost consultancy advice on a £30m mixed-use scheme in Northamptonshire for Jersey-based retail investment specialist LXB.

Mr Tomalin said: “The Midlands’ partners are vastly experienced in all aspects of the construction management process and have worked on major UK projects such as the £32m refurbishment of Waterloo Station.

“The extended skills set we can now offer and continued hands-on approach from partners is already paying dividends in winning exciting new contracts.

“We are currently looking at pipeline schemes across retail, healthcare, office and industrial sectors with a combined value in excess of £60m.”
