FHM secures £5.3m Devon project

COLESHILL-based builder Frank Haslam Milan has been signed up to build a new residential scheme in Barnstaple as part of £5.3m contract from North Devon Homes.

The scheme has been backed by a £2.45m investment from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The contract was awarded to community regeneration specialist Keepmoat, for which Frank Haslam Milan is a delivery company and will construct 65 new build properties, comprising two and three-bed family properties on behalf of the social landlord.

The 13-month programme of works is due to begin at the Forches estate by the end of the month.

FHM project manager Rob Gort said: “We are delighted to have signed this contract which cements our expansion in the South West and marks the first time we have worked with North Devon Homes.

“We are also proud of the environmental aspects of the scheme as the homes have been built to Code 3 under the Government’s Code for Sustainable Homes.”

Stephen Snooks, the regeneration project manager for North Devon Homes, added: “We are very pleased to be working with FHM in the delivery of this latest phase of works at Forches which will contribute to the overall regeneration of the area.

“We are succeeding in creating a community for people which closely matches their aspirations.”
