Comms firm combines bases and more lettings news

TELEMETRY and communications specialist Stirling Technical Engineering has signed a 10-year lease for 9,400 sq ft at SEGRO’s Kings Norton Business Centre in Birmingham.

Stirling, which has been established for more than two decades, has taken the decision to consolidate three locations into one base at Kings Norton.
The business has been on the park for the past seven years, with two units on site and a third unit in Kidderminster.

Stirling’s client portfolio includes Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water and Schneider Electric. Rent is undisclosed.

In other lettings news, international freight and logistics firm Simarco has signed a 10-year lease on 30,701 sq ft at the 125-acre Barton Business, near Burton, for an undisclosed rent.

The letting of the second largest unit on the park’s Centre 38 scheme, owned by Birmingham-based St. Modwen Properties, means the estate is now fully occupied.

St. Modwen has also signed three new deals at Hilton Business Park north of Burton.

Existing occupier Trade Price Stone has signed a new lease on 25,000 sq ft, doubling its existing occupancy.

European Exhaust and Catalyst has signed a new lease for a 5,710sq ft unit while building and automotive specialist Johnson Controls has signed a lease on a 6,000sq ft unit at the development. All rents are undisclosed.

Elsewhere, weight loss counselling business LighterLife has renewed its lease for three years on 800 sq ft of office space at Whittington Hall in Worcester.

The estate is managed by Worcester-based Blue Marble Properties, part of the Pemberstone Group.
