Steve Coleby, Lovell

Steve Coleby has been appointed as managing director of Midlands-based partnership homes developer Lovell.

Lovell has its Midlands regional office in Quinton, Birmingham, and its national head office in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Coleby joins Lovell, the partnership homes division of Morgan Sindall Group, from Laing O’Rourke. He has more than 24 years of experience at Laing O’Rourke, where he started as a trainee. He spent time as managing director of UK Infrastructure and then went on to become the managing director of UK construction, later becoming the commercial director for Europe and Middle East.

John Morgan, chief executive of Morgan Sindall Group, said: “I am excited to welcome Steve Coleby to the team at Lovell and the group. Steve brings with him some fantastic experience including his knowledge in both building and infrastructure.”

Amrick Saggu, Stone Law

Law firm Stone King has appointed Amrick Saggu as a consultant in its commercial property team.

Saggu was senior commercial property solicitor at Birmingham City Council and he has more than 20 years’ experience working for a number of solicitors firms and commercial businesses.

Steven Greenwood, managing partner at Stone King, said: “Amrick’s significant knowledge and experience will enhance our service offering in this field. He will also help us to build up our presence in Birmingham, having first branched into the region last year.

“We are excited to be expanding here and looking to grow further in the area during the course of 2018.”

Chris Torbett, Savills

Chris Torbett has joined Savills Birmingham as an associate in the 21-strong development team.

With over five years experience in the West Midlands development industry, Torbett joins Savills from JLL where he worked as a senior surveyor. Prior to that, he worked for Wychaven District Council as a graduate development surveyor.

Andrew Galloway, development director at Savills Birmingham, said: “We have a strong presence across the Midlands with offices in Birmingham and Nottingham and Chris joins us at a pinnacle time following our recent move to new offices at 55 Colmore Row in Birmingham city centre.”
