Law firm hails success of new build conveyancing division

A Staffordshire law firm has hailed the success of a new build conveyancing division it set up last year.

After launching the department as an additional commercial legal service in October 2017, creating five jobs, ORJ Solicitors says it has experienced rapid growth with net fees projected to be around £300,000.

The ORJ team, headed by director of new build conveyancing Sukhi Sandhu, works with several major developers, including Barratt Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Bellway Homes, Persimmon Homes and St. Modwen Homes.

Sandhu said: “The new build sector differs to typical house buying and selling because it’s governed by certain constraints so we adopt a specialist approach to ensure that exchanges are completed on time, every time.

“Our fast, responsive service, coupled with expertise in the new build process, including an understanding of complex residential estate documentation for site set-up and subsequent plot sales, means we can ensure a hassle-free transaction for both builder and homeowner.”
