Engineering firm creates jobs in Telford relocation

An expanding engineering firm is to create at least four jobs as part of its move to Telford.

Fitsco Industries has relocated from Bridgnorth to a refurbished unit measuring 4,380 sq ft on the Halesfield Industrial Estate, part of Halesfield 19.

Fitsco specialises in the manufacture of metal threading for various plastic inserts mainly used in the automotive industry, where one of its biggest customers is Toyota.

Founder and chief executive Philip Schofield said: “We needed larger premises to accommodate more machines and extra staff to operate them, and we were keen on Telford as the town is within easier reach of skilled workers that we’re keen to employ.”

Fitsco currently employs 12 staff and is looking to increase this to at least 16 in the near future as part of its move, with even more recruitment planned for later in 2019.

The property deal was arranged by Bulleys Bradbury acting jointly with Andrew Dixon and Co.

Richard Bradbury, director of Telford-based Bulleys Bradbury, said: “We’re delighted to have found the right premises in Telford for Fitsco and look forward to watching them continue to expand.”

Bulleys Bradbury and Andrew Dixon and Co arranged the letting of Unit J12 to Fitsco on behalf of the landlord Paloma Capital.
