Property in Brief: Contractor hits top gear with Lamborghini dealership; Connections provider completes Kettleworks contract; and more

A Midlands-based building contractor is motoring ahead after creating a major new supercar dealership in Kent.

MCS Group, which is in the running for two awards at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Business Masters Awards next month, has transformed a former Mazda site to create the Grange Lamborghini dealership in Tunbridge Wells, after being appointed by motor retail group Cambria Automobiles.

The former workshop and showroom has been remodelled into the Lamborghini Tunbridge Wells dealership as part of an 11-week project costing £795,000.

The dealership, in Dowding Way near the A21, stocks new and pre-owned super sports cars, including the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder and the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster.

Richard Llewellyn, commercial manager at MCS primary projects, said: “We are delighted to have delivered the new Lamborghini dealership in Tunbridge Wells on behalf of Grange and Cambria Automobiles ahead of schedule.”

MCS Group has built and refurbished more than 300 car dealerships since its inception in 2003. The Warwickshire-based company has worked on a string of high-profile projects for the likes of Audi, BMW, Mclaren and Jaguar Land Rover, ranging in value from £50m to £250m.

Rock Power Connections was appointed to complete the full design and installation service for the development.

Reece James, operations director of Rock Power Connections , said: “We were delighted to be awarded Kettleworks, and although a challenging and complex job, the installation was completed on time and within budget, ensuring the development was finalised and introduced to the property market on schedule.”

The Barber House, which pioneered the city’s throwback to traditional men’s grooming, has unveiled expansion plans that sees the business more than double in size.

The team has moved into a new 1,000 sq ft unit on Waterloo Street, almost five years after opening in Birmingham city centre.

Starting with a team of three back in 2014, the Bennetts Hill salon and shaving parlour now boasts a team of 11 barbers, from apprentices to senior level. The Waterloo Street deal, with its £120,000 relocation costs, sees The Barber House go from four to nine chairs and welcome two new members of staff.
