A raft of Birmingham City Council properties are set to go under the hammer.

Bond Wolfe Auctions will showcase the properties, which include a former caretaker’s home in Erdlington and several potential development sites.

Bond Wolfe Auctions has recently won the contract to handle the disposal of Birmingham City Council’s surplus property and land assets, It says it aims to help get the maximum value possible for the city and its tax payers.

Four city council lots set to be auctioned are all for development land. This includes a 1302 sq ft site of freehold land adjacent to 56 Runcorn Road in the busy suburb of Sparkbrook.

Other freehold residential development opportunities include a 3175 sq ft plot of land adjacent to 1 Magdala Street in Winson Green, and a 5909 sq ft plot of land adjacent to 11 Stones Green in Erdington.

In addition, a 1690 sq ft parcel of freehold land adjacent to 1 Foredraft Close in Quinton, Birmingham, which “could be suitable for a number of uses subject to planning permission” is set to go under the hammer.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This vacant, detached house is expected to attract lots of interest from bidders as it stands back from the road behind a front garden with additional land to the side, which may be suitable for residential development subject to planning permission.

“This is typical of the intriguing properties we are now selling at our auctions on behalf of Birmingham City Council, a supply of lots that is bound to make our auctions even more popular.”
