Law firm wins Ladywood regeneration brief

David Meecham

Law firm Pinsent Masons has been appointed by Birmingham City Council as legal adviser on the procurement of a development partner to deliver the regeneration of the city’s Ladywood area.

Ladywood is a 62-hectare city centre site, identified in the Big City Plan as a key area for redevelopment to deliver family housing, public spaces and community facilities.

The Pinsent Masons team is led by partners David Meecham and Didar Dhillon, with support from a number of other local authority specialists within the firm’s Birmingham office including Rebecca Rowley, Amy Walker and Chris Haines.

David Meecham said: “We are absolutely delighted to be advising Birmingham City Council again on a key regeneration project within the city. Pinsent Masons has proudly worked with the Council for a long time and we are always particularly pleased to be advising on schemes within our home city.

“After the success of advising on the Peddimore scheme [last year] we’re looking forward to helping the Council deliver their plans for Ladywood.”
