Six-figure funding deal helps construction firm seal university and council contracts

A Coventry-based construction and maintenance contractor has won university and council contracts after being boosted by a six-figure funding deal.

Just Solutions Group provides construction, repair, maintenance, refurbishment and conversion services to local and national businesses across public and private sectors.

The business recently secured a funding package from Lloyds Bank to help fund new projects and support its rapid growth.

Just Solutions’ new contract wins include the construction of 39 student accommodation units for Coventry University in the city centre that will complete later this year.

The business has also secured a new contract with Walsall Council and will provide full maintenance services to the town’s leisure centre, libraries and all council owned commercial businesses.

These projects are set to boost the firm’s £2m annual turnover by 50% over the next 12 months and expand its workforce with the addition of 10 employees.

Earlier this year, Just Solutions announced the completion of its first modular home delivered and supplied to Birmingham City Council. The new ‘ModPods’ are houses that can be constructed in a factory in a controlled environment and can take as little as two weeks to build.

The business is looking to roll out at scale many more ModPods in the coming months, helping local authorities tackle a shortage of affordable housing in the region.

Peter Farrelly, owner of Just Solutions, said: “It’s an exciting time for Just Solutions, with the business expanding rapidly in recent years. This expansion has helped us to win new contracts by offering more services to more clients and has seen us branch out into the construction of modular homes, delivered, connected and occupied the same day, an industry first.

“We’ve been impressed with the Lloyds Bank team’s expertise and ability to provide a funding package that is tailored to suit our exact needs. We look forward to having them by our side as we continue on our growth journey in the coming months and years.”

Conrad Hoy, business development manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Just Solutions is a great example of an ambitious business that’s fully committed to investing in its growth. Our support for the firm forms part of our commitment to helping Britain prosper by helping it achieve its ambitions as the business continues to expand.

“Property services are always in high demand and it’s great to see that the business is continuously evolving its offering to meet the changing needs of clients across a wide range of sectors. This is contributing to the creation of new jobs in the West Midlands and in turn, boosting the local economy.”
