Locksmith handed keys to retail outlet

A locksmith has signed a new lease on a Coventry retail outlet.

Lee Clements & Sons Locksmiths has signed up to the unit on Beake Avenue as part of its ongoing expansion and will now carry out refit of the premises with a view to launching when retail restrictions are lifted in the coming weeks.

David Walton, head of retail at Harris Lamb, said: “This is a really heartening situation. Retail news in the past two months has been incredibly gloomy, so it really is a pleasure to be able to say that we’ve overseen this letting.

“Lee Clements have an excellent reputation throughout the Midlands, and with operations covering Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham and Warwick the business wanted to firm up its public face with a retail outlet.”

Lee Clements said: “Like many businesses, we have used the past few weeks to plan for the future. As an emergency response business, our team has continued to work throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and having worked hard to build up a trusted reputation throughout the West and East Midlands we had already discussed the next steps in our expansion plans.

“This property is well-located with good access links to service the surrounding areas, and has excellent visibility to increase awareness of our operation to the local community, whereupon we will be offering a fully comprehensive locksmith service to include all types of key cutting for commercial, domestic and auto, as well as the sale of locks and safes along with other architectural ironmongery.

“We are looking forward to opening the new Clements outlet in due course, when it is safe to do so.”
