Banking and asset management firm extends lease on Birmingham office

Richard Sanders

Banking and asset management firm Alantra has reaffirmed its commitment to the region, going back over 20 years now, by extending its lease at Bank House in Birmingham until at least 2025.

Richard Sanders, senior partner in the Midlands, said that committing to the region was an important statement.

The Midlands has a well-established advisor community that has a wealth of experience in domestic and cross-border M&A and is a great place to do business. We continue to see significant benefits from combining our established local presence with wider access to industry and product experts across the Alantra group.”

In respect of the impact of Covid-19, Sanders said: “I have worked in the region for the last 30 years and one of the key features of our local market is its resilience. Whilst there has been, and will continue to be, an impact on our people and the broader community due to Covid-19, I am confident we will come out stronger on the other side.”

Alantra’s UK offices reopened on 1 June, operating on a phased return basis.

Sanders added: “Our team has adapted well to remote working whilst continuing to offer the highest levels of service to our clients, even managing to complete three transactions and secure three new mandates for exciting opportunities. There have been some great benefits to working from home and, whilst I am sure working practices in the future will be far more flexible, I very much look forward to welcoming back my colleagues and reconnecting with the community.”
