Trio of tenants fill trading estate

Folkes Holdings continues to attract businesses to its industrial site at Hayes Trading Estate in Lye after securing three lettings, taking the estate to full occupancy.

Hird has taken Unit 10, 18,760 sq ft for its new premises on a 10-year lease.

Gemini Accident Repair Centres Ltd has taken Unit 11 which is a 15,333 sq ft unit and Lakeland Tankers has renewed its lease over five years on Unit 1.

The new tenants join Davro Steel, Vacuum Furnace Engineering and Ashley Manor Upholstery on the estate.

Adam Priest, asset management director at Folkes Properties, said: “We are delighted that Folkes have been able to meet the requirements of all three tenants. The occupiers were looking for well-appointed space in the local area in order to continue their growth, and we were able to deliver this.

“Covid-19 has clearly impacted on local businesses, occupiers and real estate, but despite this there is confidence in the market and Folkes property portfolio has historically low void levels with the expectation of achieving 0% void very soon. Rental levels are continuing to move forward and demand for industrial units is strong, as evidenced by these lettings.”
