Detailed plans submitted for Birmingham business park

A planning application to create eight units totalling around 74,000 sq ft at Hay Hall Business Park in Tyseley has been put forward.

FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) wants to build four 5,000 sq ft units and four 13,500 sq ft units.

Each of the proposed units will have the flexibility to be let individually to smaller businesses or combined to accommodate larger outfits.

If approved, construction is expected to start in Q1 2022.

An outline application will also be submitted for two larger units totalling 98,383 sq ft, both will include loading docks and level access doors, first floor mezzanine and office.

The units could be combined into a single unit.

The new plans follow a £2.5m refurbishment project completed by FIREM at Hay Hall in 2018.

A spokesperson for FIREM said: “This is another exciting step in our plans to redevelop this fantastic space at Hay Hall Business Park.

“We’ve been investing heavily in Tyseley and our wider industrial portfolio over the last couple years, which is testament to the enduring confidence we have in the area and the strength of this sector.”
