A property developer is planning an industrial scheme after buying land from East Staffordshire Borough Council in a £1.25m deal.

Savills, on behalf of East Staffordshire Borough Council, has sold the freehold of development land on Dove Way in Uttoxeter in Staffordshire to PMW Property.

Comprising 6.7 acres of development land, the site has previously had planning consent for up to 113,000 sq ft (10,500 sq m) of mixed commercial floor space.

The developer has plans to design and construct units available to purchase or rent ranging in size from 4,000 sq ft  to 100,000 sq ft.

Mike Wrigley at PMW Property, said: “We are looking forward to starting the development and have already received positive demand for the units with the site being in a prominent position.

arketing will start shortly but for any parties who would like to discuss the site, we would be delighted to hear from them to progress their early interest.”

Victor Ktori, head of office at Savills Nottingham, said: “The land at Dove Way provided the purchaser with an excellent opportunity to acquire a prominent roadside site with good access to both the A518 and A50, ideal for a new commercial development. There remains strong demand for freehold industrial space across the Midlands, generating significant interest from occupiers, investors and developers and as a result we were able to secure a fantastic outcome on behalf of our client.”
