Vehicle finance firm changes gear to bigger premises

The growing popularity of leasing as an alternative to car ownership has driven major growth at Redditch-based Jet Vehicle Finance.

As a result, the company has taken on bigger premises after securing a five year lease on 2,387 sq ft of offices at The Granary, Brockhill Court.

Jet’s marketing director Wendy Johnson said: “We are future-proofing the business. When we moved to Redditch 12 years ago there were just six of us; now there are 22.

“Car leasing was once seen as the preserve of companies but it is an increasingly popular choice among the driving public because of its many advantages. The ability to change cars every few years is especially useful for people who use their vehicles for work. Many people are choosing it as an alternative to a company car.

“We have been based in a number of offices at the Greenlands Business Centre but needed to move out to make way for some improvement work. We had been thinking about moving to bigger premises for some time.”

Ian Parker, joint managing director at property agent John Truslove, handled the deal.

He said: “Brockhill Court is set in a convenient rural location, close to both the M42 and the M5, with ample car parking.

“With this tenancy. it is now fully let again. Its combination of attractive surroundings and modern office accommodation mean this is always a popular location for businesses.

“Changing attitudes to car ownership have seen Jet Vehicle Finance prosper over the last dozen years in Redditch and we are confident these new offices will provide the company with a firm foundation for the next stage in its growth.”

Ifzal Akhtar, from law firm FBC Manby Bowdler, acted for Jet Vehicle Finance.
