Second phase of £52.8m retirement scheme completes

Work on the second phase of a £52.8m retirement scheme outside Alcester has completed.

An additional 44 retirement living cottages, 24 apartments and landscaping including an outdoor amphitheatre have been delivered at Great Alne Park, which is owned by Inspired Villages.

The first phase of the scheme, comprising cottages and apartments, as well as the village centre was completed by contractor Seddon in June 2018.

Phase three will see the final part of the village completed with an extra 44 cottages built as well as the completion of a wildflower meadow. Inspired Villages plans to begin construction of this phase in early 2022.
