Six senior promotions at law firm

Law firm Flint Bishop has announced six senior promotions across its teams in Derby and Birmingham.
Andrew Stokes and William Harper both step up to partner.

Stokes, who joined from Higgs in July 2020, has helped to set up and lead a new commercial property department at the firm’s Birmingham office.

Whilst continuing to manage key clients on high level matters, Stokes also has a keen interest in business development and has been successful in generating substantial new work within the real estate finance, development and property investment sectors.

Harper became associate in 2017 and senior associate in 2019. As one of the most senior members of the Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts department, he has impressed the leadership team in achieving “excellent billing and client care outcomes consistently year on year”.

Angela Davis, Sundeep Sandhu and George Domleo have all been promoted to senior associate.

With around 30 years post-qualification experience in family law, Davis is a well-established lawyer in all matters relating to divorce, finance and children.

Given her strength of expertise, she has also played a key role in training and mentoring junior members of the team.

Having joined Flint Bishop as a commercial dispute resolution solicitor in 2012 and then later promoted to associate in 2016, Sandhu has recently taken the lead on the contentious probate work within the department.

She is actively involved in the firm’s agriculture offering, building work in this area across several departments with a particular focus on rural and landed estates.

Domleo joined the firm’s Licensing team as a solicitor in 2017 and was promoted to associate in 2020, recognised for his achievements in securing new work from key clients for other areas of the firm.

The main stay of his work is in managing bulk licensing requirements for large tenanted and managed estates for clients including Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, Star Pubs & Bars and Kew Green Hotels.
Natalie Lloyd-Nash completes the series of promotions stepping up to associate.

Starting her career at Flint Bishop in 2014 as a legal assistant in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department, Lloyd-Nash was quickly promoted to debt recovery manager the following year.
Over the last six years, she has worked with chief executive Qamer Ghafoor to achieve a 66% headcount growth in the department, managing volume business debt recovery requirements for several UK leading brands including Royal Mail, Costcutter and Autoglass.

Qamer Ghafoor said: “At Flint Bishop, I am extremely passionate about creating a platform for people to progress within the firm and take responsibility for projects and areas of work that really excite them. It is excellent to see staff achieve long term careers with the firm in line with the leadership team’s growth ambitions.

“The latest promotions are a result of the continued investment at our Birmingham and Derby offices as we roll out our strategic expansion plans for 2022 and beyond.

“I would like to congratulate all of the individuals on their well-deserved promotions and achievements. I wish them every success in their new roles.”
