People: Springboard Corporate Finance; Centrick; Whittle Jones

Corporate finance adviser Springboard Corporate Finance has announced a raft of promotions and the recruitment of a new member to its team.

James Bailey and Robert Johnson are both promoted to partner. Bailey joined Springboard in 2011 and has worked on a number of high-profile transactions with a particular focus on the acquisition support work Springboard provides to a number of high profile private equity investees including Sykes Holiday Cottages and the Jensten Group.

Johnson has been with Springboard for 15 years working on a range of transactions including the sale of WonderLane and the sale of Claremont Ingredients.

Meanwhile, Matthew Guest and Jonathan Wright are both promoted to director. Tom Hammond is promoted to assistant director while Pauline So and Daniel McCartney are both promoted to executive having recently gained their ACA qualifications.

Springboard has also recruited James Cross as a manager. A KPMG trained accountant most recently James has worked for an independent advisory firm supporting across a range of transaction types.

Birmingham-based Centrick has bolstered its valuation team with the appointment of property specialist Graham Jacobs.

Jacobs, who has more than 25 years experience in the property sector, will support the South coast valuation team in providing property valuations for secured lending purposes, focusing on HMO and development, while extending Centrick’s work for private individuals.

Katherine Nolan, director and head of valuation at Centrick’s Birmingham headquarters, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome someone of Graham’s calibre to the Centrick valuation team and we’re looking forward to increasing our presence across the south coast region including Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and further afield.

“We established our valuation service just two years ago when the company acquired Andrew Grant Commercial and since then we have doubled our fee income and grown the team. We are going from strength to strength and developing new business relationships all the time.”

Whittle Jones, managing agents acting on behalf of Northern Trust Company, has welcomed Lauren Mclean to its Midlands team.

Mclean has joined the company as lettings manager following Caroline Jones promotion to regional property manager.

She said: “After several years in residential lettings I was extremely excited when I had the opportunity to work at Whittle Jones in a new exciting challenge. Over a month into my role I am enjoying getting to know the various sites and occupiers.”
