Logistics specialist opens 101,000 sq ft site

Kammac, ranked in The Sunday Times 100 fastest growing businesses for 2021 and 2022, has taken another 101,000 sq ft warehouse site, this time at Burton-on-Trent.

The Staffordshire company joins Syncreon, a DP World Company, and Neville Lumb Bathrooms and Washrooms at the Branston Locks Quintus Development, bringing new jobs to the local area.

Ged Carabini, Kammac’s COO, said: “We are excited to be opening yet another Kammac site, this time in the Burton area. We have big ambitions for the future and will be looking to open another 1.8 million square feet of warehousing in the UK, to continue our growth and better serve our client base. We’re also looking to broaden our services to customers, and our new site here will be key to that, by offering not just space, but ecommerce fulfilment and added services.”

Since the 1980s, Kammac has been a third-party logistics specialist for sectors including food and beverage, FMCG and healthcare with a growing focus on ecommerce.

Its fulfilment, warehousing, and onsite logistics support is carried out by a team of more than 500 staff operating across 15 UK sites who each year handle more than 25 million case picks per year.
