Interior design consultancy picked for office upgrade at The Cube

Interior design consultancy Office Principles North has been chosen to deliver an office upgrade at The Cube in Birmingham.
The firm has been appointed to design and deliver more than 23,000 sq ft of CAT A office space on level 14 of The Cube on Wharfside Street.
The rebranded space will be known as The Cube Offices and will include new flooring and lighting, feature panelling, exposed services, floor-to-ceiling glazing and upgraded toilet facilities.
A new raised floor will lead to an external sky garden for private meetings and events, connecting the office to the space outside.
The Cube Offices will be let as a single office space or as two flexible office suites. The project is expected to be completed in Q2 2023.
Gary Tailby, joint managing director of Office Principles North, said: “The Cube Offices will reposition a vacant office space as a modern destination workspace in the heart of Birmingham.
“We will be significantly upgrading the reception area and wayfinding within the building, as part of a strategy to elevate The Cube Offices and give it a distinct identity. Our design works in harmony with the building’s character and features, and maximises natural daylight in the space. It will offer flexibility and enhanced facilities for tenants.”
Theo Holmes, senior director – advisory and transaction services, CBRE, said: “With historic low levels of Grade A availability in the market, opportunities to reinvent and reposition iconic buildings will help satisfy the growing demand for best in class space. The Cube’s 360 degree views of the city and impressive onsite amenity makes the office proposition on level 14 truly unique.”
