People: Colmore Capital; Lanyon Bowdler; Hub Transport Planning

Colmore Capital has bolstered its operations with the appointment of Pav Biran.

Biran joins Colmore Capital as an investment analyst, bringing strong local knowledge of the city and surrounding areas having grown up in Birmingham.

He will be responsible for the analysis and modelling of new commercial real estate acquisition opportunities, as well as developing and delivering plans for Colmore Capital’s existing portfolio.

In his previous role, Biran worked at international advisory firm BDO, specialising in the audit of not-for-profit housing groups. Prior to this, he gained analytical skills while studying an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and later obtained an MSc in Investment Analysis from Aston University.

He said: “I’m pleased to have joined the Colmore Capital team and, having not come from a real estate background, it gives me the opportunity to build my experience in a sector that I’ve always had an interest in. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge and experience from other areas in my new role.

“Colmore Capital really appealed to me because its flat management structure will give me hands-on experience and the ability to learn directly from senior members of the team. Everyone is highly entrepreneurial and ambitious, which is a great environment to work in!”

David Corridan, managing director at Colmore Capital, added: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming Pav to the team and he’s already hit the ground running. Despite the challenges the wider industry is facing, we are undertaking multiple value-accretive asset management initiatives and are working on a large volume of investment opportunities.

“Pav will be helping us to appraise these opportunities and we look forward to seeing him develop within the team.”
