Mid-box shed set for Black Country industrial park

Mercia Real Estate is redeveloping an industrial park in Wednesbury and bringing forward a Grade A-rated 65,000 sq ft warehouse.
Construction is underway at Wednesbury 65 after a detailed planning application for the GWS trading estate on Leabrook Road was approved last year.
So far, the project has seen the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a new 6,100 sq m commercial unit.
When this building is completed in Q1 of 2024, Mercia says it expects it to be one of only a handful of new mid-box buildings available across the Black Country where there remains significant demand from local occupiers.
Sam Clark, CEO of Mercia Real Estate said: “Our portfolio has an industrial bias for a reason and we have historically found the Black Country a fantastic place to invest given the number of potential occupiers and strong transport links.
“We have a number of other projects in course and will continue to deploy capital into those areas where we see value.”
