£25m redevelopment of former nightclub reaches completion

Topland, in partnership with CoLico Living, has completed its Paradise View residential development in Birmingham city centre.

Acquired in February 2022, the redevelopment of the former Snobs nightclub into Paradise View was executed by Topland and managed by BAM Construction.

The £25m project includes 159 build-to-rent apartments, 5,000 sq ft of retail space, resident amenities, and a 24-hour gym managed by Anytime Fitness.

Features include a co-working space, media lounge, cycle parking for up to 90 bikes and a rooftop terrace.

Studios and one, two, and three-bedroom apartments are now available for viewing, with the first tenants expected to move in by February 2024.

The former Beneficial Building, previously housing offices and the Snobs nightclub had remained vacant for 13 years.

Situated adjacent to Birmingham’s £700m Paradise district, one of the largest city centre regeneration projects outside London, the site offers 120,000 sq ft of retail space, three new public squares, and Grade A sustainable offices.

Sol Zakay, chairman and CEO of Topland Group, said: “Paradise View is set to be a real asset for the city of Birmingham, transforming a dormant building into high-quality housing and amenities that perfectly complement the wider £700 million regeneration of Paradise.

“We’re proud to have played our part in the rejuvenation of this city centre neighborhood which will now become one of Birmingham’s most desirable places to live and work. We look forward to seeing it becoming a key asset for Paradise as we continue to support regeneration across the UK as an investor, developer and lender.”
